Professionalism | Our Team

Professionalism probably sounds good. Especially when you try to label amateurs as professionals. And you'll probably feel bad when I said this, especially when you think that I am giving an unsatisfying tone, and calling off this professional tag from undeserving amateurs. In fact, I really don't like this word, because it gives the wrong impression and I would just love everyone to be a learner.

I personally think that it's not a good idea to inject so much professionalism into the education, if not at least for the course that I'm in. Focusing so much about abiding rules here and there really sets the limit for learners to learn and explore. In professionalism, it's a taboo to show mistakes to the clients, we are even taught this during our presentation. Whereas I think its a good thing to learn from mistakes. If what you and I say are true, than why don't we make big mistakes now during learning period before stepping into the "professional" industry.

When I was graduating in high school, this beautiful quote which I'd read before in some magazine stays with me until this very moment,
"The beauty of learning is that no one can take it away from you."

I'm still learning with open mind. I am an optimistic person and also pessimistic. This paradoxical state of mind is what human can utilize with rational, no other machine can mimic this thinking. But then why do I say this? I've learned that people can get upset mostly because others could not achieve their expectation and hence blaming the other for their laziness, un-cooperativeness, stupidity, so on and so forth.

If I turn the table around and say, it's us who did not prepare for the unexpected, you might question why are we putting the blames unto ourselves. But I think the main key point here is "preparation". If we have prepared an extra route for that unexpected case, then it still be in accord with our own plan.

In order to lead a team, I choose to be optimistic about the result, but I am also pessimistic which helps me to see the undesirable scenarios, it helps me to plan ahead. I'm happy to lead a team with talented people namely,

Hafiz
Sau Keong
Jason Pua
Jonathan
Boon Kien
Yong Taik

Well this is your director, and I'm proud of our team, which doesn't have a name at the moment. Hafiz came out with interesting list of names but no matter what it gonna sound like, we are still us and our portfolio will make the voice for us.

Thanks! And good luck to the other group members! :)

Sincerely,
Randy Robin

keep that attitude man, lotsa artist don't stop to think like you. Make Sabah proud !

I agree with you on exploring, TOA is a mould ; should we not be careful, we will end up graduating without passion. Some lecturers do not understand the severity of the things they tell us when we're learning. Even so, there is beauty within confinement.

GOGO on your finals !
